Roland Pearce is a Director in the Corporate Banking division of Barclays Bank and has been a Relationship Director in the Charities and Not-for-profit Team for 6-years. Roland specialises in Global Development Organisations undertaking humanitarian aid and economic development activity.
Roland’s portfolio includes many large UK based international charities undertaking aid and economic development activity in developing countries including high risk and some sanctioned jurisdictions. Roland therefore gets heavily involved in managing the financial crime and sanction regulation risks involved in such activity. Recently, Roland has supported in implementing a new extended due diligence process for Charities operating in high risk jurisdictions and is working to try mitigate the unintended consequences of sanctions on humanitarian aid.
