Senior Research Fellow, Social Protection Programme
Rebecca Holmes is a Senior Research Fellow in the Social Protection Programme. She has over 10 years of experience in research and policy work focusing on the analysis of social protection policy and programming, with a particular focus on gender. She has led multi-year mixed-methods research on social protection and social inclusion, and social protection and gender equality. Most recently, she has been involved in research on the economic and social effects of cash transfers for refugees in Jordan, and examining the extension of social insurance for informal workers. Rebecca has published widely for a range of audiences on social protection and is co-author of the book “Gender and social protection in the developing world: beyond mothers and safety nets”.
