Paolo de Renzio
Senior Research Fellow, International Budget Partnership
Paolo de Renzio is Senior Research Fellow with the International Budget Partnership (IBP) and Adjunct Professor of International Relations at the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC) in Rio de Janeiro. At IBP, he coordinates a research programme on fiscal transparency, participation and accountability. He has previous experience in governance work for the Overseas Development Institute, UNDP Mozambique, and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance in Papua New Guinea. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Oxford University, a Masters in Development Studies from LSE, and a university degree from L. Bocconi Commercial Unviersity in Milan. He is co-editor of a recently published volume called ‘Open Budgets: the political economy of transparency, participation and accountability’ (Brookings).
