Lance is co-head of Linklaters’ International Governance and Development Practices, and is a litigation partner based in New York. Lance counsels the for-profit, public and not-for-profit sectors on all manner of governance issues, including assessing, designing, implementing and monitoring client-centered governance models through to addressing challenges relating to fraud, corruption and economic sanctions regimes. He does this through education and training, enhanced compliance mechanisms, and investigations when necessary. He also helps to develop innovative funding models for private enterprises, foundations and INGOs that facilitate scalability and enhance partnerships, and advise on the requirements of and compliance with international human rights frameworks. Lance also handles white collar criminal, government regulatory and complex civil litigation matters on behalf of broker-dealers, banks, other financial institutions, and their corporate executives and has extensive experience in criminal law, securities matters, and class action defense. Lance is a member of the Consortium that organises the Seminar.
