Hugo Stolkin is an English law qualified partner in the Linklaters corporate practice. He speaks Russian and has spent many years working in Linklaters’ Moscow office on Russian and CIS matters during the course of his career. Hugo has a broad range of M&A experience, in the Russian and CIS markets, as well as in London and internationally.

Hugo has advised, among others: BP on its USD 1.6815bn sale of its 50% stake in Shanghai SECCO Petrochemical Company Limited; Glencore on the EUR 10.2bn joint acquisition with the Qatar Investment Authority of a 19.5% stake in Rosneft; SUEK on the proposed joint venture with Gazprom to create the largest power generation company in Russia (aborted); and Brunswick Rail on the investment by Macquarie Renaissance Infrastructure Fund in Brunswick Rail, one of Russia’s largest private railcar leasing companies.
