Managing Director for Research, Global Integrity
Hazel Feigenblatt is Global Integrity’s Managing Director for Research in Washington DC, where she runs the organization’s indicator-based work such as the Global Integrity Report, assessing anti-corruption mechanisms and their implementation in over 100 countries, and the organization’s strategic research partnerships. She also leads the African Integrity Indicators, assessing key social, economic, political and anti-corruption mechanisms at the national level in over 50 African countries. Current projects include Money, Politics and Transparency and the State Integrity Investigation 2.
Hazel is also member of the Ibrahim Index Advisory Council and a member of the board of the Ciudadano Inteligente, a Latin American non-profit organization that uses information technology innovation to promote transparency and citizen participation as tools to protect and develop stronger democracies. Before her work on measurements, she was an award-winning investigative journalist. She has a Master’s Degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs Reporting, and was a Fulbright’s Humphrey Fellow 2002-2003. Her political science research focused on political influence in government procurement and she has edited several Global Integrity publications.
