Dr Timothy Tahane

Member of Parliament, Likhetlane Constituency, Lesotho

Dr. Thahane is Member of Parliament, Likhetlane Constituency, Lesotho. He became Minister of Energy, Water Affairs and Meteorology of Lesotho in 2002 after serving as deputy governor of the South African Reserve Bank. He has previously held numerous positions with the World Bank and government of Lesotho including vice-president and secretary of the World Bank Group and ambassador for Lesotho to the United States. Dr. Thahane holds a Doctor of Laws and Bachelors Degree from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, as well as a Masters in Economics from the University of Toronto.
