Governance Advisor, OECD-Development Cooperation Directorate
Alessandra Fontana works as governance advisor at the OECD-Development Cooperation Directorate. Her work focuses on efforts undertaken by the international community in the area of anti-corruption and illicit financial flows. She was previously at the OECD-Public Governance and Territorial Division Directorate managing projects in corruption prevention in the MENA region (in Tunisia, Morocco and the Palestinian Authority). Prior to that, she worked for the U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Centre in Norway (focusing on the agenda of illicit financial flows and political party financing) and for Transparency International (on political party financing across Latin America). She worked as a financial journalist in Brazil and has an MA in International Relations and Development Studies, from the University of East Anglia in the UK.
